“East meets West” at the Brewster Library as emerging artist Rena Scelia displays her Soul Nature artwork. I went to see the exhibition and meet Rena, and I must say that her work is both unique and beautiful. Rena has been in the arts for a long time and she describes her work with heartfelt words, “The whole concept is to bring nature inside.  I want to provide education with art. When you look at my work you will feel drawn to a certain piece based upon the unqiue blend of energies each one gives off.” Rena explained that she loves nature and her goal is to bring nature and natural energies into the home. 

Here is Rena with Maria Steinburg, Director of the Brewster Library.  When describing her recently completed works she explains that they have an aura of asian woodlands that she created in awe of the perfection and complexities that nature embodies.  She blends patterns, color s and forms on carved wood panels enhancing the interior landscape of a dwelling. The photographs of her art do not do it justice, you have to see if for yourself.  The exhibition runs until the end of September.  If you miss this exhibition, she will also be featured in the following venues:
