The Sixth Annual Street Festival and Merchant Showcase, sponsored by The Greater Mahopac-Carmel Chamber of Commerce, takes place on Sunday, October 5th, from 11 am - 5 pm on Route 6N and in the Mahopac Chamber Community Park, providing a wonderful community-oriented day for kids and adults alike.
The Festival features delicious food, both local and out-of-town vendors and entertainment for all ages. The food court is filled with local caterers, restaurants and chamber members selling a wide variety of food. The afternoon offers many activities, most of them free of charge or at a nominal fee. These include a climbing wall, crafts, and inflatable rides for the children. There is also a special children’s tent featuring games and face painting. In the gazebo, local musicians will perform throughout the day.
The festival is held rain or shine, and is in conjunction with the Italian American Club of Mahopac, which sponsors the Putnam County Columbus Day Parade and festivities. The parade steps off at 2:30pm from the Route 6 / Lake Casse Road in Mahopac and proceeds down Route 6 to the Street Festival.
