Come support Boy Scout Troop #1 Carmel on Saturday, October 25th, 2008 for their “Autumn Breakfast - Equipment Fundraiser” at Drew United Methodist Church, 28 Gleneida Ave. (Rt. 52), Carmel, NY.
Time: 8:00 - 10:30 AM
Menu: Bacon, eggs, hash browns, Danish / pastry, bagels / English muffins, oatmeal, juice, coffee / tea.
Tickets: $5.00 each, in advance or at the door.
This event is the 4th in a series intended to replace, upgrade and expand the troop’s camping equipment cache. Boy Scout Troop #1 Carmel participates in multiple events throughout the year which often include foul weather. On many occasion they have had wet, uncomfortable, cold scouts and leaders alike. It became apparent that they were in trouble with respect to the state of their equipment. To address the troop’s equipment needs, an equipment committee was formed. This committee developed an equipment plan and a funding strategy, which includes this tasty event.
It is only through your continued support that they might realize their goals, all while providing a 1st rate program to the boys.
