Green Chimneys Fall Harvest Festival

making-junk-sculptures_smLooking for a GREAT family friendly event this fall?  Want to take in the fall foliage and have a special day on a farm? Then, join Green Chimneys’ on Sunday, Oct. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for their annual Fall Harvest Festival.

It’s fun for all ages! The event, sponsored by the Country Store at Boni-Bel Farm, a vocational education program of Green Chimneys, is a celebration of the environment and their farm.

horsesThis year’s event will feature sheep-herding border collies, wildlife presentations, draft horse demos, and a drawing demo with Billy Steers of Tractor Mac fame.  Other activities will include hayrides, a bouncy castle, vendor tents and educational programs. To top off the festivities and get everyone in a festive, happy mood, there will be  new American roots music by Last Fair Deal, a group called “rambunctious and fun-loving” by The Boston Globe.

painting_pumpkinsIn addition to all of the free activities, pony rides*, arts and crafts, face painting and pumpkin painting will be available for $3 per activity.  Save $2 with an activities package that includes all four activities for $10 per child. For families with three or more children, they have a special family package activity rate of $25. Children under 3 years old will be granted free access to all activities.
