Desmond Fish Library Career Change Workshop
The Desmond Fish Library is hosting a Career Change Workshop on Monday, January 11th at 2:30 pm. This workshop will provide expert, personal advice on how to explore a new career and find a new job. Liz Taylor of the New York State Department of Labor will be presenting the workshop and all Putnam County residents are welcome. The recession has caused many people to reconsider their careers and change to a different kind of job, which may be more secure or better use their talents and skills. The workshop is free, so if you are thinking about change — after all, it is the New Year, stop by and check it out.
Advance reservation is not required. This program was made possible by the Putnam County Legislature. The Desmond-Fish Library also has many books and books on CD on changing careers which can be borrowed, including:
”What Color is your Parachute? A Practical Manual for Job-Hunters and Career Changers”
“I could do anything if I only knew what it was : how to discover what you really want and how to get it”.
“Country careers : successful ways to live and work in the country.”
