My Furry Valentine

The Putnam Humane Society (PHS) has two Valentine Fund Raising events coming up that are good fun for the whole family. The first innovate way to celebrate love while helping the PHS,  is with their new online Valentine Card sale to benefit the Trap-Neuter Return (TNR) Fund to help deal with the ferral cat problem in our area. PHS are hoping that with these funds they can neuter some of the stray cats.  A neutered cat will mean fewer homeless kittens.

The Valentine Card sale is cute and fun. Show your love for ALL animals, visit the sites below and have fun sending a Valentine card.

 The PHS will also be participating in a concert at Arts On The Lake, 640 Route 52, Carmel, NY next Friday, February 12, 2010 called, “My Furry Valentine”. It is a singer/songwriter circle dedicated to songs of love for people and PETS. The songwritter circle will feature four singer/songwriters from the area, Katie Mac, Steve Kirkman, Peter Calo and Susan Kane. It’ll be fun.

Below is Rudy, one of the most loved dogs at PHS.  The staff has grown to love him but can’t take him home because they already have a house full of animals.  Rudy is 6 years old and in great health. Please consider stopping by the Putnam Humane Society and get to know him, we are sure you will fall in love with him too and want to giving him a home.
