We are all impressed with the magnificent photographs of celestial objects taken with the Hubble Space Telescope, but did  you know that seven of the most beautiful celestial sights are available for you to show your child with just their eyes or a pair of  binoculars?  Joe Rao, an Associate and Guest Lecturer at New York’s Hayden Planetarium, and a  well known face to Hudson Valley television viewers as News 12′s Senior  Meteorologist, will be at the Desmond Fish Library on Saturday afternoon,  April 17 at 2:30 to present an illustrated slide talk for young people of The Seven  Wonders of the Universe.  Joe will keep both kids and adults  interested by providing many ‘gee-whiz’ facts as well as some personal anecdotes on  his more than 40-years of looking up at the nighttime sky.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Desmond-Fish Library.  The library is located at 472 Route 304, Garrison and is open and free to all Putnam residents.
