Quack, Quack for the Great Duck Race

The Lake Mahopac Rotary is getting all their ducks in a row for the Great Duck Race scheduled for May 16, 2010 from 11am to 4pm at the Red Mills Historic Park. 

Watch over 2,000 rubber ducks splash their way into the water and to the finish line.  There will be live entertainment, and activities for the entire family.  Plus the best part, admission is free.  It is sure to bring a smile to children of all ages, parents alike.  The Red Mills Historic Park is located on Long Pond Road, off of the intersection with Route 6N.  Parking will be at the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.  Free shuttle service is available to bring you safely to the Park.  We encourage you to utilize this service as the

There will be a prizes awarded to the “parents” of the winning ducks. The “Grand Prize” will be $1,000, 1st Prize is $250, 2nd Prize is $100, and the 3rd Prize is $50… Plus many more prizes.

Ducks are available for adoption through the Lake Mahopac Rotary’s online store at www.mahopacduckrace.com.  Ducks are going quickly so reserve yours today.  Discounted rates are available when you purchase multiple ducks.  There are “quack packs” and “flocks of ducks”.
