05/29/2012 – Brewster: Junior Farmer Program

The Junior Farmer series is a hands-on event sponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension’s 4-H Youth Development Program.  Children ages 6 – 10 will have an opportunity to learn what life is like as a farmer, they will learn about livestock and farm animals, explore careers in agriculture, help groom horses, meet with veterinarians, collect eggs, and feed the pigs.  The program will culminate with a hayride and Harvest Party.

Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis and participation is limited.  The non-refundable fee is $ 65 for 4-H members and $ 85 for non-members.  This event meets every Tuesday for 6 weeks from 4:30 to 6:00pm beginning on May 1st.  Please note: a parent or guardian must accompany the child throughout the time at Tilly Foster Farm.
