CUPCAKES FOR CANCER: A Sweet Way to Discover Free Cancer Resources in Putnam County

The lack of health insurance should not prevent you from obtaining a potentially life-saving screening for breast, cervical or colorectal cancer screening.  A representative from the Cancer Screening Program of Putnam County will be at the Mahopac Public Library on Tuesday, March 16, from 7-8:30 pm, to provide information and describe free services that are available for uninsured residents of Putnam County.  This is a drop-in program; no registration is needed.

Screening procedures, such as mammograms, pap tests, and colorectal exams, are the most effective way to identify cancer in its earliest stages when it is still potentially treatable.  Uninsured individuals who qualify for this program have access to, and should utilize, the important health services offered by the Cancer Screening Program of Putnam County.   So stop by the Mahopac Public Library on March 16 – enjoy a sweet treat and sign-up to obtain your free cancer screening.
